Walking Men

Walking Men

Walking Men is the brainchild of photographer Maya Barkai who collected the various representations of the “walking man” from around the world. Beginning as a photographer’s project, Walking Men developed into a larger than life exhibition that displayed on Church Street in Lower Manhattan as part of a site specific public art installation sponsored by the Downtown Alliance.

We worked with Barkai on the design and production of the installation as well as limited edition posters for the project.

Maya continued and expanded on her Walking Men theme with Men At Work, an installation that was displayed at the site of the construction of World Trade Center Tower 4. We helped design a series of limited edition silk-screened posters that were printed by the legendary printmaker Donald Sheridan.
